The bill, designed to reorganize government ministries into 13 branches
in 2001, was to pass the Upper House plenary session today, following
a vote at an Upper House special committee. It has already passed
the Lower House.
Liberal Democrats, Social Democrats and others will support the
administrative reform legislation, a hallmark of the Hashimoto Cabinet,
at today's votes.
参院を通過した、中央省庁を現行の１府21省庁から１府12省庁に２００１年に
再編成する中央省庁改革基本法は衆院特別委員会の投票に続いて衆院本会議を
通過する予定。
自民、社民、（新党さきがけ）などが橋本内閣の特徴である行政改革法案を
今日の投票で支持するだろう。
