・三菱自動車、アメリカの工場でのセクハラの和解金約５０億円で和解。

・時同じく、第二次大戦でアメリカへ強制連行された中南米在住の日本人へ
　アメリカから精神的虐待として賠償額が７２万円で和解した。

・韓国女性が戦時中の強制連行で賠償と陳謝を訴え続けている。

FEDS, MITSUBISHI SETTLE HARASSMENT CASE:                                      
PEORIA, Ill. - Mitsubishi Motors has agreed to pay a record $34 million to    
settle claims that woman auto workers were repeatedly harassed on the assembly
line. The settlement is by far the largest sexual harassment settlement ever  
for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The EEOC sued Mitsubishi
in April 1996, alleging that the automaker allowed women to be groped and     
subjected to lewd jokes and behavior while working on the assembly line at its
Normal, Ill., plant.    


米国三菱自動車はその組立工場で女性労働者が繰り返しセクハラを受けたことへの要求に対し
史上最高の34ミリオン・ドル（約５０億円）を支払うことに合意した。
この和解額はアメリカ雇用機会均等委員会が扱ったセクハラに対する今までの和解額を
はるかに上回る最高額である。
雇用機会均等委員会は1996年4月にその自動車会社がイリノイ州ノーマルの組立ライン
で勤務中女性達を困らせたり、わいせつな言葉や行動を放置したとして三菱を起訴していた。
