 ☆ メニューを選ぶ

　　テーブルについたら、ウェートレス（ウエイター）が尋ねてきます。

　　May I help you ?
　　Are you ready to order ?
　　Have you decided?
    May I take your order?
　　Do you want a menu ?
    What do you like ?
    What will you be having ?
　　What would you like to drink ?
　　(お飲み物は何にしますか)

 ☆ 注文をする

Excuse me. May I order now?
I'm ready to order.

バイキングコース

バイキングと云っても通じません。

Buffet [ブフェー] です。
 
「ビュッフェ」と発音しないので注意してください。

Buffet　のメリット・デメリット

・好きなだけ料理や飲み物、果物が食べられる、
・または食べたい料理がメニューになく、buffetにある場合がある。
・注文の面倒がない。
・料金は割高。

 ☆ なににするかウエイトレスに相談する時

　　What do you recommend ?

　　同じ意味で次の表現も出来ます。
 　　What's the special of the day?
 　　What's today's special ?
　　 What's the best meal at this restaurant?
　　 What's good here?
　　 What's your specialty?

 ☆ それにしようと決めたら

　　I'll take it.

 ☆ 一緒に行った人と同じ物をたのむ時

　　The same for me.
    Same here.
　　I'll have the same.
    I feel the same.　
　　（同じ物をください）
　　
    I'll have whatever you're having.
　　（あなたと同じ物にします）

 ☆ 他の席の人の料理をさして

　　（あれと同じ物を下さい）
　　Can I have the same dish as that ?

 ☆ メニューを見ながら

　　「これとこれ」とメニューを指差しながら、
　　　This and this.

　　または、
　　I'd like to have fish.
　　I'd like to have a sirloin steak, and a salad.

 ☆ ステーキを頼むと必ず聞かれる

　　How would you like your steak ?
　　How do you want your steak ?
　　(ステーキはどのようにしますか)

 ☆ サラダを頼んだら聞かれる

 ☆ 苦情を言う

　・オーダーしていない料理が出されたとき
 
　　I didn't order this.
　　(これは頼んでいません)

　　ローマのレストランで頼まない料理を出され、これはおいしいから
　　try (食べてみて)下さい。と言われた。
　　てっきり、サービスと思って食べてしまい、あまりおいしくなかったが、
　　サービスだから、おいしかったよとお世辞を言った。

　　なんと、請求書には、その代金も含まれていた。

　　私は、ウエイトレスと口論になってしまった。
　　「だって、食べてしまったでしょう」と言うのが相手の言い分だ。
　　うかつに、確認をせず勝手にサービスだと思いこみ食べてしまった
　　私が馬鹿だった。

　　ところで、私が大声で口論している間、同行の友人は、たまたま隣のテーブルに
　　いた日本人女性観光客と仲良く話をしていた。

　　重ねて、損をした気分になった。


　・なかなか料理が出てこないとき、

　　I'm still waiting for my food.
　　（まだ出来ませんか）
